What Is It To Become Family

We don’t just using the word “family” as a label for a marketing plan or to try and forge a sympathy connection. Our creation of family is real. We love, we disagree, we have good times and bad.

Mutual Trust and Respect

We continually work to establish a relationship of trust and mutual respect between us all. Following double standards of expectations and understanding is desrespectful.

Always Encourage Each Other

By believing in our family members they can more easily believe in themselves. Instead of focusing on mistakes we do our best to acknowledge what we appreciate about each other.

Regularly Communicate Love

It is important that we feel connected and loved. Many parts of society have stripped that ability out of us and we clearly and regularly communicate our love for one another.

Celebrate

Celebrating with one another, having the means to come together and deepen our relationships are important to us. While geographically we are not able to celebrate together, we find ways to ensure that there is time to laugh as their is to build.

Batwa Pygmies Welcoming Visitors

Batwa Pygmies are among the poorest and most vulnerable communities in the region if not in the world. They are believed to be the original inhabitants of the equatorial forests of the Great Lakes region of Central Africa. They are still born into slavery and are thought by many to have magical powers. The forest was their home.
